Teacher Arrested Twice in One Day

Concord Police charge woman with assault, mischief, and default of bail conditions.

A local teacher was arrested twice in one day after alleged altercations with her husband, according to arrest reports.

Rebecca Marie McHugh, 39, of Concord, was arrested on March 18 and charged with Simple Assault (Personal Weapons) and Criminal Mischief (Vandalism). She was arrested at 4:10 p.m. on West Street.

The allege victim in the case was her male spouse. Police allege that she damaged the hand brake on a motorcycle valued at $1,000, during the alleged altercation. Personal recognizance bail was set a $4,000 and she has a court date on April 23.

According to an arrest report, McHugh is a teacher at Clearway High School in Nashua.

About seven hours later, police re-arrested McHugh and charged her with Default Or Breach Of Bail Conditions.

The witnesses to this charge included McHugh’s husband and an elderly Concord woman.

No other details were available about the second arrest.

Cash bail was set at $4,000 and McHugh had a court date on March 19 on the second charge.
