Sex Offender Boden Caught in Pembroke

Police arrest Richard Boden, on April 13, after receiving an anonymous tip.

Richard Boden, a registered sex offender formerly of Meredith who was on the loose last week in the eastern part of Concord after U.S. Marshals attempted to arrest him on a parole violation was caught last night, according to Jeffrey White, a Deputy U.S. Marshal.

Acting on an anonymous tip, Boden was picked up in Pembroke by the Pembroke Police, according to White.

Boden, 45, according to online reports, was on parole after being convicted of sexual assault and simple assault in January 2013. He was being arrested for allegedly moving from his last known address without letting his probation officer know and without updating his sex offender registration status, according to White.

On April 11, U.S. Marshals attempted to arrest him on the violations while he was on the job, working for a local landscaping business. Spotting the marshals, Boden allegedly ran through the Shell station on Sheep Davis Road and escaped through the woods around the Soucook River.
