Police ID Body Found Off Route 106

The cause of death remains under investigation.

Concord Police have released the identity of the person whose body was found in a wooded area in the vicinity of Route 106 on Tuesday.

Police say the badly decomposed body was that of Barbara Harrington, 48, whose last known address was in Manchester.

An autopsy was conducted by the New Hampshire Medical Examiner’s Office on Sept. 19. There are no indications of foul play, police say, however, the official cause of death remains undetermined and is pending toxicology results.

Police on Tuesday said it is possible Harrington's body may have been there since July or August, and they are looking for anyone who may be able to help shed some light on the case.

Harrington's body was found about 80 feet off the road just south of the Sam’s Club on Sheep Davis Road around 4:30 a.m. on Sept. 17.

This investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information that might assist police with this investigation is asked to call the Concord Police Department at 603-225-8600 or the Concord Regional Crimeline,
at 603-226-3100.
