Pembroke Man Dies in I-293 Crash

Jacob Kipp, 25, was ejected from his Toyota 4Runner.

A local man was killed after being ejected from his car on I-293 early this morning, according to New Hampshire State Police.

Jacob Kipp, 25, of Pembroke, was pronounced dead at the scene around 4:45 a.m. on April 12.

According to state police, troopers from Troop B were called to the area of the I-293 northbound ramp to I-93 South. Evidence at the scene suggests that while in his Toyota 4Runner, Kipp entered the ramp and was unable to negotiate the curve.

“The vehicle struck the guardrail on the northern side of the ramp,” according to a press statement. “This contact caused the driver to be ejected.”

State troopers from Troop B and Troop D as well as fire and rescue teams from Hooksett assisted at the scene.

The ramp was closed for about three hours for an investigation into the accident.

State police are looking to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the accident. Call Trooper N. Quintiliani at the Troop B barracks at 603-666-3333 if you saw the accident.

According to online posts, Kipp was active in sports, including playing basketball with Pembroke Academy when he was a student there as well as running road races.
