LOG: Teens Face Alcohol, Drug Charges After Traffic Stop

The Concord Police Department supplied the following information. It does not indicate a conviction.

Dana M. Mercier, 42, of Concord, received a summons at 2:53 p.m. on May 24, for public disposal of human waste, city ordinance violation. An officer was sent to the gazebo in Penacook Square for a report of intoxicated subjects. As the officer approached in his cruiser, he saw one subject standing next to an excavator who appeared to be urinating. The officer got out of the cruiser and approached the man, Mercier, who allegedly admitted to urinating beside the construction equipment. “Mercier said he had to really go and couldn’t hold it,” the officer reported. Mercier wasn’t intoxicated but was summoned to court on June 30.

Christopher E. Hanley, 19, of Concord, was arrested at 2:50 a.m. on May 26, and charged with driving while intoxicated, possession of drugs, and possession of controlled drugs. An officer on North State Street was traveling south when he noticed a Volkswagen Passat with Massachusetts plates driving between 30 and 40 mph, and drifting back and forth. The vehicle was stopped near Hutchins Street. The driver, Hanley, reportedly apologized for swerving and said he was talking to the passengers in the car. The officer alleged that Hanely had bloodshot eyes. He could smell marijuana in the car. Hanley was requested to exit the car, which he did, and the officer alleged that he smelled like alcohol. Hanley allegedly denied drinking. He later reportedly consented to a search of the vehicle and the officer allegedly located a bag of marijuana on the floor of the rear passenger seat. Hanley agreed to a field sobriety test and was arrested. During transportation, he allegedly “became verbally aggressive stating that he was going to fight with officers,” according to the report, and was held without bail. Hanely was arraigned on May 27. Also charged in the incident was Jarad Fontone, 17, of Concord, who received a summons for unlawful possession of alcohol. He was processed at headquarters. The reporting officer alleged that “he appeared very out of it.” He had a court date on June 30. Andrew Young, 18, of Webster, also received a summons for unlawful possession of alcohol after being taken into protective custody. During interaction with officers, Young allegedly was slurring his words and “had difficulty making coherent sentences and finishing thoughts.” He had a court date on June 30.

Jason Edwards, 37, of Concord, was arrested at 1:52 p.m. on May 26, on criminal mischief charge. He was arrested after officers were sent to North State Street for a report of a domestic disturbance where an elliptical machine was allegedly damaged after an argument with his wife. He had a court date on July 7.

Jody Lynn Gines, 35, of Concord, was arrested at 6:16 p.m. on May 27, on an attempt to commit simple assault charge. Officers were sent to a domestic on Eastman Street with two people arguing on a second floor balcony. The parties were separated and Glines reportedly told officers that she had returned from a long weekend to find that her kids hadn’t cleaned up after themselves in the house. She found dirty dishes everywhere and the kitchen was messy. Gines allegedly threw dirty dishes that were in her bed which smashed in front of her son. When the son reportedly took her cellphone away and looked like he might break it, she allegedly grabbed his shirt and arm, causing scratches on his arms, according to the report. Witness statements were taken and she was arrested. Gines later alleged that her son pushed and spat at her but the officer noted that wasn't mentioned in her original recounting of the incident. She had a court date on July 7.

Timothy Benoit Cadorette, 26, of Suncook, was arrested at 11:48 p.m. on May 27, on two sale of controlled drugs and one criminal liability for conduct of another charges, all felonies. The charges were from incidents at the Rite Aid in Allenstown on Jan. 30, Glass Street in Pembroke on Feb. 6, and the Family Dollar store in Allenstown on Feb. 18. An officer went to Pembroke to pick up Cadorette on the warrants. “Cadorette, who was at first unsure of the charges, appeared to then realize what the charges were in relation to,” the officer alleged. He refused to comment on the case, according to the report. Cadorette was arraigned on July 7.

Jeremy F. Grandmaison, 31, of Concord, was arrested at 2:55 p.m. on May 28, on two theft charges at an apartment on Bog Road. He was being housed at the Merrimack County House of Corrections and refused bail on the charges. Grandmaison was arraigned on May 29.

Clifford H. Watson, 33, of Alton Bay, was arrested at 7 p.m. on May 28, on a theft by deception charge from the Walmart on Loudon Road on March 24. He was arrested by Meredith Police and transported to Tilton for a prisoner exchange with Concord. Watson had a court date on June 30.

Janiel Lorraien Greene, 21, of Boscawen, was arrested at 6:40 a.m. on May 29, and charged with drivers license prohibitions, driving after revocation or suspension, and suspended registration. An officer on Fisherville Road saw a Honda Civic drive by with a defective passenger headlight. The car was pulled over near Cremin Street. The driver, Greene, had a suspended license and registration from May 15, for nonpayment of fine, and was arrested. She was arraigned on July 7.

Jeffrey S. Bowe, 34, of Penacook, was arrested at 11:15 a.m. on May 29, on a conduct after an accident charge from March 22, at the Hess station on Hall Street. He was also cited for operating without a valid license. Bowe was arraigned on July 7.

Victoria Antoinette Avery, 24, of Concord, was arrested at 8:17 p.m. on May 30, on a default or breach of bail conditions charge. Officers were sent to Monroe Street for a report of a woman who was causing a disturbance. The woman, Avery, was sitting on a porch and was allegedly “highly intoxicated.” The homeowner said he knew her from the neighborhood but when she came over and started pounding on his front door while yelling, he refused to answer the door. Avery was placed in protective custody but later, it was learned that she was on pre-trial services and out on bail from May 16, and ordered to refrain from drinking. She was held on $2,000 cash bail and arraigned on June 2.

Mariena Martinez, 18, of Concord, was arrested at 10:55 p.m. on May 30, on a simple assault charge. Police were called to a domestic on Pinehurst Street with a man alleging that his girlfriend had pinched and pushed him. Officers spoke to the man who reported that the two had an argument and then the woman, Martinez, allegedly unplugged his alarm clock and started to pinch and push him around. The man reportedly told the officer that the last time the two fought, he was arrested and now, she needed to “learn a lesson and smarten up.” Martinez allegedly told an officer that the boyfriend came face to face with her during the argument but he denied it. The officer inspected the man’s body but didn’t see any kind of injuries. The officer spoke with Martinez again and she was arrested. She was arraigned on July 7. A baby was in the home at the time and on June 2, the Division of Child, Youth, and Families was called about the domestic incidents at the home since December 2013.
