Homeless Man Killed by Train ID’d

The victim, Shaune Milligan, was 49.

The Concord Police Department has released the name of the victim who was killed by a train on July 5.

Shaune Milligan, 49, a homeless man, was struck and killed by the train during the weekend.

According to Lt. Timothy O’Malley, the commander for the criminal investigations unit for the department, officers were called to tracks at around 11:45 am. on July 5, for a report of a man on the train tracks.

“Based on initial observations it appears as if Mr. Milligan may have died at some point the previous evening,” O’Malley said in a statement. “This investigation is ongoing.”

An autopsy will be done today to determine the cause of death.

Milligan had a history of arrests and crimes in Concord, according to online reports, and previously lived on North Spring Street.
