Cops Seek Help With Best Buy Robbery Case

Concord Police ask, Do you know the people in these pictures?

Investigators inside the Concord Police Department are asking for the public’s help identifying three people who may have been involved in a robbery at Best Buy.

According to a Concord Regional Crimeline alert, on Feb. 12, officers were called to the Best Buy on D’Amante Drive at a little before 9 p.m. for a report of a “strong-arm robbery” that had just occurred at the store.

A store employee reported seeing two men and a woman “acting suspicious” while in the video game section of the store. At some point, one man grabbed a bunch of Xbox games and headed for the store exit. The employee followed while the other man and woman headed to the checkout lane.

“The employee quickly moved to the exit in an attempt to stop the three from leaving the store,” according to Lt. Timothy O’Malley, the commander of the criminal investigations division. “The employee told all three that they needed to stop at which point one of the males responded ‘I don’t think so' and then bumped into him.”

The employee reportedly felt a sharp pain in his back, lost his balanced, and realized that he was being punched. The three subjects then fled the store, according to police, and were seen leaving the parking lot in a blue Nissan Maxima with a driver’s side taillight that was out.
