Concord Police Investigating South End Armed Robbery

Thin, white male in a skull bandana pulls a gun, steals wallet and a cellphone.

The Concord Police are asking for the public’s help in catching an armed robbery suspect who mugged a person on Nov. 12, near the South Street Market.

According to an alert from Sgt. Michael Pearl of the Youth Services Division of the department, police were called to the intersection of South and Thompson streets around 8:30 p.m. to investigate the mugging.

The alleged victim told police he had been walking on South Street when he was approached by a man who asked for a cigarette.

"The suspect then pulled out a black handgun and took money from the victim’s wallet as well as his cell phone," Pearl stated in the alert. 

The suspect was described by police as a white male, about 6-feet tall, and thin. He was wearing a skull bandana over his face, gloves, a dark hooded sweatshirt, and dark pants. The suspect fled the area on foot on Thorndike Street, heading east.

The case is still under investigation but detectives are asking anyone with information about the mugging to call the police at 603-225-8600 or leave a tip with the Concord Regional Crimeline at 603-226-3100.
