ARRESTS: Warner Man Tased on Sewalls Falls Road

The following information was supplied by the Concord Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

  • Angela C. Ricci, 18, of Pembroke, was arrested at 3:10 a.m. on July 3, on a possession of controlled drugs charge. Officers were called to a drinking part at South State Street reportedly involving 10 people. Officers spoke with people around the party including Ricci, who was sitting in the passenger seat of a car and allegedly was emitting a “faint odor of alcohol coming from her breath.” Her movements were slow and lethargic, according to officers. Ricci initially agreed to submit to a portable breath test, according to the report, but later declined. The officer noted that they thought Ricci was intoxicated and since she couldn’t find someone to come and pick her up, she was taken into custody. Later, after a search of the car, a marijuana pipe with residue on it was reportedly found where Ricci was sitting and her belongings were so she was charged. Ricci was later released on $750 personal recognizance bail and had a court date on Aug. 5.
  • Christopher Botta, 39, of Concord, was arrested at 1:01 p.m. July 8, on a bench warrant from Newport District Court. Officers were on bike patrol when they were sent to The Friendly Kitchen to speak with an employee who was alleging that two men were talking about being out of money and wanting to set up a drug deal. Botta, one of the men allegedly involved in the conversation, had an active warrant. When they arrived, Botta had left the area on foot, heading towards the Concord Center on Ferry Street. Officers caught up with Botta in the parking lot of the Cumberland Farms on North Main Street. Botta allegedly told the officer he was on his way to the police station to turn himself in. He was later released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and was arraigned in Newport District Court on Aug. 5.
  • Cassandra J. Levesque, 33, of Pittsfield, was arrested at 11:12 p.m. on July 12, on a bench warrant. An officer was called to West Street to assist Concord Fire and Rescue teams with a report of a patient who was having an allergic reaction to shellfish and could not breathe. The woman, Levesque, was in the ambulance when she reportedly jumped out and ran back into the home. Police later found out that Levesque had just been released from Rockingham County Jail on July 9, and had an active warrant that she thought she had already taken care of. She was arrested and taken into custody. The warrant was from Concord District Court on June 13, on a possession of controlled drugs felony charge, with $750 cash to settle. Levesque was able to line up the bail money and was released. She’s due in court on Aug. 12.
  • Liana M. Sottile, 23, of Boscawen, was arrested at 11:01 p.m. on July 13, on a theft charge. An officer was called to Walmart on Loudon Road for a report of a shoplifter who was being cooperative. A loss prevention officer at the store alleged that Sottile was seen walking through the store with items she had already purchased. While in the infant aisle, the employee alleged that Sottile picked up a box of Pampers and a container of Huggies wipes and headed towards the grocery side of the store, on a “fast walk almost run” towards the door and out of the store. The employee approached Sottile outside the store and she allegedly stated it was a misunderstanding and she just forgot to pay for the items. An officer reviewed the surveillance video and later, arrested Sottile. She was released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail and is due in court on Aug. 12.
  • Evan J. Rogowski, 35, of Warner, was arrested at 11:25 p.m. on July 17, and charged with driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest or detention, and disobeying an officer. While driving on Sewalls Falls Road near Manor Road, an officer reportedly came across a Ford Taurus that was stopped in the middle of the road near the railroad tracks. Smoke appeared to be flowing from the hood of the car and the officer thought the car was on fire. The officer inspected the car and saw that the cabin was completely filled with smoke with a man in the driver’s seat who “seemed out of it.” The man had his head down and a lit cigarette in his left hand, according to the officer. The officer began to talk to the man but he was not responsive at first. Later, the man “raised his head slowly and took a drag from his cigarette and said, ‘the transmission blew,’ then he put his head back down towards his chest,” the officer alleged. The officer parked the cruiser and began to speak to Rogowski who was deemed “uncooperative” and appeared to be “disheveled.” He allegedly spoke in a “lethargic” manner and his words were “extremely slurred” and movements very slow, the officer alleged. Rogowski later agreed to get out of the vehicle and the officer reportedly that Rogowski was covered in sand and dirt and appeared to urinate in his pants. “Rogowski became highly agitated and he started to scream that I prejudged him and he started to swear at me and kept calling me a ‘f------ a------,’” the officer alleged. Other officers were called in to assist in taking Rogowski into custody since he would not allow himself to be arrested. Later, when Rogowski continued to refuse to comply, he was Tased, according to the report. Concord Fire and Rescue teams were called in to give a medical clearance. Full and empty beer bottles were reportedly found in the car. He was released on $5,000 personal recognizance bail and had a court date on July 29.
  • John J. Famiglietti, 71, of Hooksett, was arrested at 3:55 p.m. on July 18, and charged with stalking and harassment. The charges stem from an alleged incident at the Red Blazer on Manchester Street and Concord City Prosecutor’s Office on Commercial Street. Evidence included a card received on June 13, and a greeting card received on June 20. Famiglietti turned himself in to police. The harassment charge was based on a phone call. He was later released on $10,000 personal recognizance bail and had a court date on July 19, in Franklin District Court.
  • Ramon Benitez, 49, of Manchester, was arrested at 11:05 a.m. on July 19, on a simple assault (personal weapons) charge. The charge stems from an alleged incident at 11:34 a.m. on July 11, at the bindery project. The report stated that it involved a threaded metal pipe. Benitez turned himself in to police and his girlfriend assisted with translation. He was released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail and is due in court on Aug. 26.
  • Sarah L. Rocheleau, 36, of Concord, was arrested at 11:18 a.m. on July 20, on a theft charge. The charge stems from an alleged incident on July 1, at the Market Basket on Storrs Street. Food items totaling more than $140 were alleged to have been stolen. An officer went to Hutchins Street to arrest Rocheleau on a warrant. She was later released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail and is due in court on Aug. 26.
  • Leon P. Severance, 62, of Concord, was arrested at noon on July 21, on a simple assault charge (personal weapons). The charge stems from an alleged incident on July 5, at the Walmart on Loudon Road. Severance was arrested at North Emperor Drive. He was process and released on $1,000 personal recognizance bail and is due in court on Aug. 26.
  • Rachel Louise Pender, 24, of Loudon, was arrested at 12:19 a.m. on July 22, on a transportation of alcohol/open container charge. Officers parked at the Medicine Store on South Main Street monitoring traffic and reportedly saw a Toyota Corolla run a red light from Perley Street onto South Main. The vehicle was pulled over in front of McDonald’s Restaurant on South Main Street. As an officer approached the vehicle, he alleged that he could smell alcohol coming from the vehicle. A box of Blue Moon beer was in the front passenger seat. The woman, Pender, allegedly said she wasn’t paying attention and went through the light. The officer alleged that Pender’s eyes were “glossy” and she was avoiding eye contact. Another officer, on the other side of the car, alleged that there was an open container in her purse. When asked to hand over the open beer, Pender allegedly sighed and said she only had a sip of it. Pender was later arrested and transported to Bow for a breath test. She was also given a summons for a red light violation. Pender is due in court on Sept. 9.
