ARRESTS: Alleged Donation Can Thief Reportedly Grabs a Twisted Tea

The following information was supplied by the Concord Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

  • Torey Mark Garnett, 28, of Epsom, was arrested at 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 29, and charged with driving after revocation or suspension, driving without giving proof, and suspended registration. According to a narrative provided by the arresting officer, while parked in the parking lot of the Lun Hing Motel on Fisherville Road, monitoring traffic, the officer allegedly observed a Chevrolet Malibu traveling northbound. The registration was marked “red” for a “license under suspension.” The officer pulled Garnett over and he reportedly stopped near the Manor Fire Station. After talking with Garnett, the officer arrested him on the driving charges. Garnett was released on $3,000 personal recognizance bail with a court date set for Dec. 31.
  • Veronica M. Barnhart, 18, of Boscawen, was issued a summons at 12:30 a.m. on Nov. 30, on a driving after revocation or suspension charge. According to a report, Barnhardt was pulled over at the intersection of North Main and Centre streets after an officer allegedly noticed a green sedan with both plate lights out. The officer alleged that Barnhardt had a suspended license. Her license was reportedly suspended on Nov. 1, “as a result of the under 20 program.” She has a court date on Dec. 17.
  • Thomas Burke, 29, of Concord, was arrested at 3:58 p.m. on Nov. 30, on a theft by unauthorized taking or transfer charge. Police allege that on Nov. 18, Burke stole a 24 ounce can of Twisted Tea valued at $3 from the Hess station on Hall Street. Burke refused bail and had a court date on Dec. 3.
  • Walter Healey, 58, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested on Nov. 30, and charged with theft by unauthorized taking or transfer and criminal trespass. He was arrested at 2:40 p.m. at Shaw’s Supermarket on Fort Eddy Road. Healey refused bail and had a court date on Dec. 3
  • Christina F. Michaud, 26, of Concord, was arrested at 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 1, on a simple assault (personal weapons) charge. The charge stems from an alleged incident at 2:10 p.m. on Aug. 10, on Canal Street. The alleged victim in the case was a Concord woman who was a friend. Personal recognizance bail was set at $2,000. The Hesser College student is due in Sixth Circuit District Division Court on Jan. 14, 2013.
  • Keith A. Johnson, 36, of Jaffrey, was arrested at 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 2, on a change of registration information; duty to inform charge. He was arrested at the New Hampshire State Prison on North State Street. Police allege that Johnson failed to inform the department of his change of address on Aug. 31. Personal recognizance bail was set at $2,000. Johnson is due in Sixth Circuit District Division Court on Jan. 7, 2013.
  • Bryan Batchelder, 42, of Salisbury, was arrested at 2:35 p.m. on Dec. 2, and charged with disobeying an officer and driving after revocation or suspension. According to an arrest report, an officer driving on Union Street reportedly encountered Batchelder driving the wrong way on a one-way street. During an exchange with the officer while both remained in their cars, Batchelder allegedly admitted that he knew Union was a one-way. The officer told him to pull over. During the process of collecting a license and registration, Batchelder allegedly didn’t have a license, said his name was Michael Sullivan, and that he had a Colorado license. The vehicle’s New Hampshire license had a registration with another name on it. After dispatch was unable to secure information that Batchelder gave the officer, the officer went back to the car and asked if he was telling the truth. Batchelder then allegedly told the officer his real name. The officer later found out that his license was suspended on May 22. He was then arrested. The woman who owned the Jeep reportedly confirmed that she had lent the vehicle to Batchelder and reportedly stated that she believed he had a valid license. Batchelder was released on $2,000 personal recognizance bail and has a court date for Jan. 7, 2013.
  • Dhana Bastola, 23, of Concord, was arrested on Dec. 2, on a bench warrant out of Concord District Court for operating after suspension. He was arrested at 5:05 p.m. at the 7-Eleven on Loudon Road. Personal recognizance bail was set at $2,000. Bastola is due in Sixth Circuit District Division Court on Jan. 7, 2013.
  • Man Bastola, 43, of Concord, was arrested on Dec. 2, on a driving after revocation or suspension. She was arrested at 5:10 p.m. on Loudon Road. The Bhutanese national was released on $1,000 cash bail and is due in Sixth Circuit District Division Court on Jan. 7, 2013.
