Tonight wave the flag for the Concord Heights!

The place to be in Concord on Tuesday evening July the 22nd is Keach Park, also known as Heights Park, where fun for all will be available and at no cost.  The evening will also include the dedication of a new flagpole in the park, courtesy of the Concord-Pineconia Grange # 322 as they mark their 100th anniversary.

Concord's wonderful Nevers' Band will be presenting a concert and there will be refreshments, fun for the kids and adults as well as a display of Grange memorabilia. Forget all you think you know about a Grange and come find out how much they've contributed to the history of our city and continue to.

Dick Patten, Grange Master, is a known to most in the community thanks to decades of tireless volunteerism. It's thanks to Dick's efforts that Concord continues to have a Holiday Parade in November as well as the annual tree-lighting which for thousands spells the official start of the Holiday Season.

A former City Councilor, Dick is now in his second term in the NH House of Representatives and is a veritable cheerleader for all things Concord.

The other day he made time to visit with me on WKXL's "Downtown Dialogues" where we chatted about the flagpole dedication, the Grange, Concord's rich history and that, although the thermometer may read 90, Dick has already begun working on plans for this year's Parade and Tree-lighting.
