GOP Shutdown

[CONCORD, NH] – In response to the shutdown of the federal government early this morning, Representative Gilman Shattuck, NH Citizens Alliance for Action Board Chair released the following statement:

“We stand with President Obama, Senator Shaheen, Congresswomen Shea-Porter and Congresswomen Kuster against the extreme Republicans who are derailing the government, wrecking the economy and threatening the lives and livelihoods of tens of millions of Americans. It is time for Republican Senator Ayotte to give up her obsession with denying millions of people affordable health coverage and continuing to let insurance companies deny care to people with pre-existing conditions. Republicans are so extreme they are willing to throw 800,000 Americans out of work, just to get their way. Instead, Republican Senator Ayotte needs to address the real problems facing our nation: investing in good jobs, and protecting vital services for our families.”
