Marilinda Garcia Responds to Underwhelming Jobs Report
SALEM, NH (1/10/14) – Marilinda Garcia, a Republican candidate to represent New Hampshire’s Second Congressional District, issued the following statement on the December 2013 jobs report released today by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics:
“Last month our economy added 74,000 jobs, far short of the 197,000 jobs experts had predicted. Continued lackluster job growth demonstrates our economy is not growing fast enough to make a difference in the lives of millions of Americans who continue to struggle with unemployment and underemployment. It is disheartening to know millions of families still cannot find gainful employment,” said Marilinda Garcia.
“Continued sluggish job growth is a direct result of the job crushing policies enacted by President Obama and his allies in Congress. ObamaCare, and the perpetual state of uncertainty regarding our nation’s fiscal health, tax policies, and regulatory environment directly impacts business investment and job creation. If we want a different outcome for New Hampshire families struggling to find work, we must send different leaders to Washington,” continued Garcia.
