Free Flu Shots at ConvenientMD

Facilities in Concord, Windham offering shots "while supplies last."

ConvenientMD, the new urgent care walk-in facility in Concord, is offering flu shots, free to all patients, during the month of November, while supplies last.

Potential patients seeking the shots can walk into the facility between the hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week, to obtain a shot at the location on Loudon Road or the Windham center, located on Indian Rock Road.

“We’re excited to be offering free flu shots in support of our local communities,” said CEO Max Puyanic.

According to Medical Director Dr. Jeffrey Collins, this year’s shot will “protect against the three or four influenza viruses that will be most common during the upcoming flu season,” according to researchers.

“We are just starting to see a few scattered flu cases but we all know the numbers will go up,” he said. “Everyone who is at least 6 months old should get the flu shot, especially those who are at highest risk. This includes people younger than 5 years and older than 65 years, pregnant women, and those with asthma, diabetes, and chronic lung disease or those living and caring for them.”

The free shots, according to Puyanic, are part of the company’s charitable efforts to serve its communities. The company also participates in healthcare fundraising walks, free sports physicals for students, and other charitable endeavors.
