Concord Kiwanis Club Celebrates 90 Years

Members say they're looking forward to 90 more.

The Concord Kiwanis Club celebrated its 90th anniversary at Camp Spaulding in Concord on April 27, with music, munchies, and merriment.

Members from around New Hampshire, about 50, as well as dignitaries and officials from the New England District Office attended the event that featured music by Kid Jazz and reminiscing about the club, projects they had undertaken, and the history of the organization.

A few Key Club members were in attendance as well although one person noted that since the weather was spotty and it was the last day of April vacation, it wasn’t a surprise that only a few children were at the event. Another official noted after a political joke that regardless of the political persuasion of members, the work of Kiwanians, and others in the community, was about putting children first.
