New Senior VP Named At Bankers Association

Plus, group names director of eduction and training.

Christiana Thornton, president/CEO of the New Hampshire Bankers Association (NHBA), announced the recent promotion of Sandy Tracy to senior vice president/COO. 

In her new role, Ms. Tracy will administer NHBA’s for-profit and non-dues revenue endorsements and Insurance Trust activities.  She will continue oversight of daily operations and membership outreach, as well as enhancing training and education initiatives.  She has been with NHBA since March 1989.

“It gives me great pleasure to announce the recent promotion of Sandy to a key management position with NHBA,” said Christiana Thornton, president/CEO.  “During our strategic planning last year, we examined how we could realign our staff to more effectively meet our long term objectives, as well as the needs of our membership.  Sandy has been instrumental in administering our Insurance Trust and Preferred Provider program, in addition to expanding our fiduciary trust company and associate memberships.”

Ms. Tracy currently holds a producer license for life, accident and health insurance in the State of New Hampshire.  She also serves as Secretary of the NH Jump$tart Coalition, a state affiliate of the National Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy.

She resides in Concord, N.H. with her family.

In addition, the NHBA tapped Dawn Beers to fill the role of director of education and training.  In this newly created position, Ms. Beers will manage the planning and implementation of training and education programs offered to NHBA members; membership development and outreach; as well as branding and marketing communication initiatives.

Christiana Thornton, president/CEO, further commented, “Dawn is a highly-skilled individual with a strong marketing communications and public relations background.  Additionally, her experience in the banking industry made her a perfect fit for this new position within our group.”

Ms. Beers has over 16 years of experience in event planning, marketing communications, public relations, and strategic planning.  Prior to joining NHBA, Ms. Beers was a marketing officer at Centrix Bank.

Ms. Beers and her family reside in Boscawen.
