Is Trader Joe’s Coming to Loudon Road Concord?

Commercial real estate broker representing the property says she’s trying to get them.

Rumors have been going around Concord that Trader Joe’s, the gourmet food and grocery store, is coming to Loudon Road, in the storefront next to Buffalo Wild Wings.

Well, .

Sorry, it’s not happening … but it might someday.

There is an urgent care facility going into the front part of the store, according to Wendy Keeler of Fairview Realty, the broker representing the property. The center will be taking up 5,000 square feet. Another 12,000 square feet is available in the other section of the building, which will be reconstructed soon, after the methadone clinic moves over to Hall Street.

Keeler said on June 13 that she had reached out to Trader Joe’s and it would be great if they came to Concord, but she hasn’t been able to get them into the space.

“Maybe I’ll give them another call,” she said.

Trader Joe’s also didn’t return an email about whether or not a store would be opened in Concord any time soon.

The chain features gourmet and organic foods, dry goods, in bulk, and other items, and is very popular, with more than 300 stores nationwide. Trader Joe’s does have locations in Nashua and Newington.

Keeler noted that the new Mexican restaurant on the other side of the shopping center, the El Rodeo Mexican Restaurant, should be opened in another month or so.

Nick, If you don't like the Concord Co-op then don't patronize them IT'S THAT SIMPLE!!!!!!. There are PLENTY of other's here in the City that LOVE them. Why would anyone, especially with today's HORRIBLE ECONOMY wish that a business goes belly up and put's people out of work is beyond me. GROW UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

John, I could expand on my comments but I won't today. I don't feel like arguing with you. I am going to start a blog, when I do you can bark at me all you want. I think my first blog will be about the Concord Coop actually. Thanks for the inspiration.

Anything works... Shaw's has been dead for years; MB is a pit and Hannaford is alright but could be better in price. Need more grocery competition especially for natural foods. Anything that doesn't have a load of corn syrup or other artificial ingredients is overpriced at Market Basket

I really want Trader Joe's to come as close to me as possible. Tilton would be better but I will be happy to have one in Concord
