Power Restored in Concord

Power outages also being reported in Bow, Hopkinton.

Update, 3:50 p.m. All power has been restored, according to Unitil. 

Update, 2:06 p.m. Unitil is reporting that they are looking for the cause of the outage believed to be a "line fault that resulted in a breaker trip." 1,862 customers are currently without power. 

Update, 1:43 p.m. The outage is now down to about 2,000 households. About 800 of those are in Bow; the rest are in Concord. All of Hopkinton has been restored, according to the Unitil outage map.

Update, 1:36 p.m. More than 5,100 customers are currently without power in the capital region.

More than 4,700 customers are without power as of 12:45 p.m. on April 19, mostly centered in the southern part of the city.

According to Unitil’s outage map, about 2,600 customers are from Concord. Bow is reporting about 2,000 households without power. Hopkinton is reporting about 100 customers without power.

The first report of outages started around 15 minutes ago from customers in the South End of Concord. Others followed.

The company reported on Twitter that they would have an update from the field soon.

Wind gusts of up to 30 mph are expected for most of the day today, according to the National Weather Service, but it’s unknown if fallen trees or downed wires are causing the power outages right now.

According to scanner chatter, traffic lights are out all over the city including Clinton Street and Langley Parkway. Concord Fire and Rescue teams are also responding to alarms being set off in the areas affected.

Public Service Company of New Hampshire, which offers power services to communities around Concord, is not reporting any outages at this time.
