Rotary Club of Concord’s Four Way Test Speech Contest Winners
Students in grades 9 through 12 competed for cash prizes in The Rotary Club of Concord’s Four Way Test Speech Contest by preparing and personally presenting a five to seven minute speech that clearly applied all four points of the Rotary Four Way Test to a significant personal situation or experience, or a public issue or event.
The contest took place on March 19, at the Pleasant View Retirement Community in Concord.

Contest Rules: You must be a high school student in the area. The content must be original and your own. The speech should not be read and may not be less than 5 or more than 7 minutes long. You may refer to notes.
Winners were: First place: Patrick Bittman, Second place, Holly Grace, and third place (tie) Brook Solomon and Jenny Zhuang

Prize Money
First Place: $500 , Second Place: $300, Third Place: $200
Other Dates
- Winners will speak at our noon Rotary meeting on April 1, in Concord.
- The 2014 District Semi Finals will be held on Sunday, April 27, beginning at 1 p.m. at the Henniker Community Center at 57 Main St. in Henniker. Competitors must sign in by 12:30 PM.
- The winners of the Semi Finals will compete in the Final competition at the District Conference on Saturday, May 24 in Stowe, VT.
- District Finalists will compete for the following distribution of $1700 prize money: First - $700; Second - $500; Third - $300; Fourth - $200
