Marijuana Supporters Rally at 4:20 on 4/20

Annual event held at the Statehouse in Concord on Easter Sunday.

Marijuana decriminalization and legalization advocates will rally at the Statehouse in Concord on Easter Sunday for the annual 4:20 on 4/20 event.

"The activists argue that our right to smoke pot, and to thereby pursue happiness is granted by our Creator, whether God or Nature, and it is the place of government to defend our rights, not to infringe upon them," according to a press statement from FreeKeene.com.

"55% of NH residents now support the legalization of Marijuana," said Rich Paul, one of the event organizers. "Why does our government continue ruining the lives of pot smokers, on the thin excuse that the users might be ruining their own lines? Why do they continue killing our loved ones by denying them medical marijuana? These questions and more will be asked of our 'public servants' by the participants."

The event is free and open to the public.
