Ward 2: Battle Of The Watchdogs

Voting is going pretty well in Ward 2, according to poll workers. As of just before 11 a.m., 114 people had cast ballots. Both Allan Herschlag, who lost the Ward 2 race two years ago by 11 votes, and newcomer to the process, Tim Bauman, said they were pretty impressed so far with the turnout. The race in this Ward has been pretty positive, with both candidates emphasizing the need for better oversight of the city's government. State Rep. Mark Warden, R-Goffstown, and former Ward 5 Concord City Council candidate Irena Goddard, both Free State Project supporters were assisting Bauman at the polls; Herschlag's wife Cathy, a local school teacher, state Rep. Rick Watrous, D-Concord, and others, were assisting him.
