Sutton Man Arrested on Drug, Driving Charges

On April 17, at approximately 7:29 p.m., Trooper Myrdek was on patrol in the Town of Wilmot when he clocked a red pickup truck going 100 MPH in a 50 MPH zone on Route 11.

Trooper Myrdek turned around and attempted to catch up to the vehicle. Once Trooper Myrdek caught up to the vehicle, a pursuit ensued for a very brief amount of time. Trooper Myrdek lost sight of the vehicle and the pursuit was terminated less than one minute after it began.

A red, 2014 Toyota Tundra was located 12 minutes later on North Road in the Town of Warner. The Warner Police stopped the vehicle and State Police Troopers arrived on scene to investigate further. It was determined that the operator was indeed the suspect that had attempted to elude Trooper Myrdek. The operator, Damian D. Biron, 21 of Sutton, was taken into custody without incident.
