Concord Rotary Club Presents Development Seminar for Local Non-Profits

The Rotary Club of Concord will present a seminar for non-profit organizations entitled “Engaging Donors and the Pros and Cons of Special Events.” Many small non-profits struggle to connect effectively with, and stage events for, their supporters. This event is intended to address how non-profits can meet those challenges.

The seminar will be held on June 6, from 9 a.m. to noon and will be held at the New Hampshire Health Care Association building located at 5 Sheep Davis Rd., 2nd floor, Pembroke. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m.

The seminar’s first session will feature Lisa Merrill-Burzak, CFRE, from New Hampshire Catholic Charities and Kristin McGrath of Granite United Way who will lead a discussion of how to engage donors in the work of a non-profit. This portion of the seminar will focus on creating a successful stewardship program, engaging donors, developing volunteer support, and fundraising challenges. The second half of the morning’s seminar will include an interactive panel to discuss the pros and cons of hosting special events, and touching on issues such as return on investment as well as the staff and volunteer time needed to execute an event.
