The Week Before Christmas

• Snow Early, Late. The National Weather Service is calling for pretty cold weather this week. On Monday, expect sunny skies with highs in the in the low teens. Wind chill factors will drop temps down below zero. Overnight lows will be even colder. Tuesday will bring more snow, sometime after noon, with temps in the teens. Overnight lows drop down into the single digits. The sun returns on Wednesday, with highs in the mid-20s, and similar temps on Thursday. By Friday, the snow will return.
• Splash Week. Free swimming lessons at the Concord Family YMCA return on Monday and all this week.
• Meet the Commissioners. The Business and Industry Association hosts its popular networking event, Meet the Commissioners, at 5 p.m. on Tuesday at the Holiday Inn. Tickets to the event cost $40.
• NeriumAD Skincare. The Woman’s Club of Concord hosts an event at 7 p.m. on Tuesday featuring information about the skincare line.
• Weekly Business Meeting. The Alliance for Business Growth Chapter meets at 8 a.m. on Friday at the Audubon Society on Silk Farm Road.
• Got a Smart Phone? Learn how to use it. U.S. Cellular on Loudon Road will show you how to make your life easier using these devices at 5 p.m. on Friday.
