Learn About the Woman’s Club of Concord; Enjoy Rotary Talent

1. Freaky Friday. The National Weather Service has a wind advisory up for today. Expect a line of thunderstorms that will bring wind gusts as high as 50 miles per hour and severe weather during the day. Highs will be in the high 60s. Overnight lows will drop down to the 40s.
2. Five More Days. If you live in Concord, get ready, on Nov. 5, in five days, voters will go to the polls to elect a mayor, city councilors, and school board members. Visit the Concord NH Patch 2013 Elections webpage for information about all the candidates, where to vote, and everything else you need to know about the upcoming election.
3. Membership Drive. The Woman’s Club of Concord hosts a new member night at 5:30 p.m. They are encouraging women who appreciate their community and want to get more involved to swing by the club and check things out.
4. Rotary Talent. The Magic of Movies & Television will be presented at 7:30 p.m. at the Concord City Auditorium. The event features singing, dancing, and comedy featuring Concord Rotary Club members. The show will also be presented at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday.
5. A Classic with a Twist. At 9:30 p.m., the Red River Theatres presents the George Romero classic “Night of the Living Dead.” The zombie film will be accompanied by new music from the Andrew Alden Ensemble.
