It’s Halloween in Concord

Here's your weather forecast, information, and other stuff.

  1. It could be a wet day. Weather forecasters are predicting showers in the late afternoon and early evening too, with cloudy skies and highs in the mid-50s. Expect showers at around 7 p.m. Overnight, temps drop down into the low 50s. A quarter of an inch of rain is possible.
  2. Share your Halloween photos. Patch has a costume contest going on so upload your little ghouls and goblins now. If you take any scary pictures while out and about, post a photo blog here of what you see around the city.
  3. Trick-or-treat hours. Trick-or-treating hours in Concord will run from 5 to 7:30 p.m. If you get them out and back in early, they’ll get home before it rains.
  4. Closed street. Auburn Street, one of the most popular places to go and ring doorbells tonight, will be closed from the roundabout to Franklin Street during the trick-or-treating hours. Drive carefully please tonight.
  5. Meet Edie Clark. The author talks about her new book, “What There Was Not to Tell,” a story of love and war, as told by letters from her parents, at Gibson’s Bookstore at 7 p.m.
