VIDEO: Ron Paul Supporter Crashes Obama Education Bus Event
Says immigrants flooding into New Hampshire harming education for native-born children.
What was supposed to be a simple press event about President Obama’s “Out Educate” school initiative and Mitt Romney’s education results in Massachusetts while governor turned into toe-to-toe argument about immigration policy and the cost of educating refugees and immigrants in New Hampshire’s cities.
Before the bus even pulled up to the Statehouse, Charles Pewitt, an independent activist who supported Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul in the New Hampshire First-in-the-Nation primary, crashed the event, asking those teachers why they were supporting a president who was allowing third-world immigrants to “flood America” harming the education of native born children by diluting available funds.
At first, most of the attendees ignored the questions from Hewitt. But a few minutes in, a number of teachers said they supported open immigration policies because it made New Hampshire’s schools “more diverse.”
“You’re just interested in more union power and products,” Hewitt shouted.
Other teachers scoffed at Hewitt but didn’t engage. Other officials began to try to discuss the issue calmly but were unable to get any words in. Eventually, Hewitt walked away.

This article, in spite of its provocative title, has nothing to do with Ron Paul. See you in Tampa...

Remember, this guy is a US citizen who happens to be a Paul supporter. Maybe his position has more to do with his citizenship than it does with who he supports politically. But of course I wouldn't expect less from HuffPo.

What evidence is there that this guy's a Paul supporter? Immigration isnt a particularly important part of the Paul platform
Nevertheless, what is liberal about opening up the American safety net to a 3rd world nation to the south? it's an absolute recipe for disaster. It's not about racism, it's about dollars and cents. And if you think the elderly and disabled are undercompensated now, wait for another 20 million illegals! It's social engineering for the welfare state. The Democrats want 10's of millions more voters to outnumber advocates of limited government. I also reject the social engineering of the GOP- who want poor people to pay income taxes (while cutting taxes for the rich) so they become more fiscally conservative

@JT: First, I know Charles and have spoken to him a number of times before and after the primary. You can't tell from this picture, but that's him holding a Ron Paul sign at the intersection of Main Street and Loudon Road, which was his favorite place to hold campaign signs during the primary. http://concord-nh.patch.com/articles/image-gallery-life-at-the-polls#photo-8867415
