Libertarian activists, Occupy Wall Street supporters, and other zombie fans were at the Statehouse on Sept. 19, participating in the filming of a new political advertisement by Gary Johnson, the Libertarian Party candidate for president.

Johnson was approached by New Hampshire activists who suggested getting people to dress up in red shirts, representing Republicans, and zombies in blue shirts, representing Democrats, crawling around the Statehouse. At the top of the steps, Johnson – like Charlton Heston’s character in “The Omega Man” – begins shouting at the zombies, telling them that they can be free, if, of course, they vote for him.

“This is fun, this is fun,” Johnson said at one point during the recording.

At another point during the filming, when Johnson realized that the concept was pretty brilliant and would probably go viral on YouTube, he said, “We’re going to have a zombie party … we can’t fix all this, we can make the world a better place …”

Johnson later suggested that the great ad concept might launch him into the White House.

“If everybody ‘wastes their votes,’ guess what? I’m the next president of the United States,” he said.

If your local candidates are "true conservatives" then by definition they aren't libertarians.
