SUV, Boat Catch on Fire on I-89

Concord Fire and other departments work to douse the flames.

A man from Bow towing a boat with his SUV was involved in a rollover on in Hopkinton on Sept. 8.

According to a press release from the , troopers were called to the scene on the southbound side of I-89. When they arrived at the accident, they alleged that the SUV, which was towing a boat, had left the Interstate, rolled over to the side of the road, and caught on fire.

The man stated that he was traveling down I-89 when “an unidentified vehicle changed lanes abruptly in front on him,” according to state police. The man was reportedly attempting to slow his vehicle and turn away from the other vehicle that was entering his lane when he drove off the Interstate. The man was reportedly not injured, according to the report.

Fire and rescue teams from , , Hooksett, Henniker, and Weare were called to the scene. Trooper and the Hopkinton Police Department were also at the scene.
