It was another busy week in the city of Concord with a Statehouse sing-a-long, police alerts, arrest reports, and a representative’s controversial comment online that drew readers to Concord NH Patch.

  • An online comment made by State Rep. Stella Tremblay, R-Auburn, about the Boston Marathon bombings dominated the headlines this week. Three different posts about the comment made it into the Top 10 stories and posts for the week on Patch, including a follow-up story concerning an email Tremblay received calling her an “idiot,” which was the top story of the week.
  • The second hottest story of the week was a Concord Police alert concerning allegations that a man allegedly tickling children in a South End park. A follow-up alert focusing on a third arrest in a brutal teen torture investigation was fourth for the week.
  • “Sweet Caroline,” the Neil Diamond song, being sung in Representatives Hall, in honor of the Boston Marathon bombing victims, was the third most popular post of the week.
  • An arrest story focusing on twin teenage boys allegedly causing their mother problems was the fifth most read story of the week.
  • Another arrest story, focusing on thefts on West Parish Road, was also popular.
  • A follow-up story about Jeff Bauman alerting investigators to the Boston Marathon bombers was the seventh most popular story of the week.
  • And coming in 10th for the week was a post about a man filing a stalking order against state Rep. Dick Patten, D-Concord.
