Popular Harvard, Concord High School Student Dies

Cote Laramie was considered a gifted singer, writer.

A former and Harvard University student died last week at his home in Pembroke.

Cote Laramie, 20, reportedly took his own life on Sept. 6, according to The Harvard Crimson.

The news devastated not only his classmates there but his former classmates at Concord High School.

In the Sept. 10 edition of the Crimson Notes, Concord High School principal called Laramie “an amazing young man” who loved poetry, reading, writing, and performing. He participated in the festival and competed nationally, according to the newsletter.

Laramie also wrote and performed his own songs, offering love song lyrics accompanied by acoustic strumming. At Harvard, he was also a singer in the glee club.

A memorial service will be held at Harvard later this week with a funeral to follow. No specific dates and times, however, had been announced at press time.
