Gun advocates aimed at protecting their rights on Jan. 19.

Constitutionalists and gun owners rallied at the Statehouse on Jan. 19, calling for protections from new regulations that they say will leave them unprotected from government tyranny and common criminals.

More than 200 people were attendance in the rally that was put together less than a week ago, in reaction to new regulations proposed by President Barack Obama and Democrats, in the wake of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, CT.

Many of the advocates, mostly men, carried colorful, historic, and political signs – as well as weapons – including AR-15s and holstered handguns, something that is allowed in New Hampshire, an open-carry state.
