Gov. Lynch Loses Key Aide

Deputy chief of staff will go into private consulting.

Pamela Walsh of Concord, Gov. John Lynch's deputy chief of staff, is stepping down from her role to take up private consulting work.

The governor's office issued a press release Friday afternoon announcing the move.

Walsh was Lynch's former campaign manager and had served in his administration since he took office in 2005, first as communications director and then as deputy chief of staff. Lynch announced last year that he would not be seeking reelection this year.

"Pamela Walsh has been a key member of my team," Lynch said in a statement. "Anyone who has worked with Pam knows just how smart and hard-working she is. Few people can match Pam's policy knowledge, communication skills and ability to solve complex problems."

Walsh said it has been "an honor" to work with Lynch and her fellow co-workers.
